Knox Street Studios, one of the leading innovators of STEM work and exploration paths in the North Carolina Triad, uses apprenticeships to prepare entry-level black professionals for STEM skills-requiring careers.
Knox Street's STEM Exploration Pipeline Apprenticeship and Internships Program is a six-month, 20-hour-a-week apprenticeship and exploration pipeline program with UNC-Chapel Hill School of Medicine, IT department. Trainees will use the knowledge and concepts gained from their experiences to solve real-world problems; At least three days a week, interns at Knox Street Studios will work on a Capstone Project initiative to support Knox Street in amplifying their essential work in the North Carolina Triad community.
Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend, certification in HTML / CSS and DEV Operations / Scriptwriting, and Knox St Studios Collaborative Community Partners access.
